Just a leaky little boat
Posted by Will Entrekin on March 12, 2008
“I awake from a long, deep sleep
In a leaky little boat on a wide blue sea.
I spy no island, rock, or shore I see.
And the tide come in and the tide go out.
The waves they come, knock my little boat about.
The sky turn black, the sky turn blue,
Got no pail, no sail, no anchor, too.”
“Alone, adrift, together are we,
Slowly sinkin’ in a deep blue sea.
But we smile and we wave,
And we say I’m afraid
And I love you.”
Lyrics from “Leaky Little Boat” by Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers, which is not nearly as depressing a song as its lyrics might suggest and is on the album !Americano!

So here we go….
the tide goes in, and the tide goes out….
This is one of those slow songs that should depress you, but somehow always puts a smile on my face!
