On an unclear day

I think some of the friends I’ve made out here in LA wonder why I dislike it. Truth is, I never really took to the city; once the novelty of being in a new place wore off, the only thing I wanted to do was go to school and write. There are myriad reasons, but the haze is one.
On an unclear day, you can’t even see now.

Reminds me of Toronto (the smog). For some reason I’ve always thought Los Angeles had a bigger city centre, like more high rises.
What do you think about living in the heat? Without seasons?
I dream about living where it’s warm all the time. This freaking snow is making me sluggish and miserable.

I actually think this picture makes LA look pretty. The last time I was in LA, it rained the entire time–no sun in sight. I’m a fan of cloudy, but it was just sorta weird. Colorado has smog, sure, but on most days, the skies are brilliant blue. I’ve never seen bluer skies, in fact. It’s a rare day when I can’t see the mountains. For me, the most disconcerting thing was the location of the mountains out there. I am a ninny at directions without mountains on the west side. Still, I really loved the hills. Probably the one thing I liked about LA.
